This month we shipped a new ETS Pathways tab in Analytics - a dedicated place to see your registration options clearly, with the numbers to back them up.

New Features

ETS Pathways Tab

We've added a new ETS Pathways tab to the Analytics section at the site level. This is the tab we've been building toward as the LUC restrictions have come into full effect - a dedicated place to see your registration options laid out clearly, with the numbers to back them up.

ETS Pathways analytics tab showing registration pathway charts and LUC land breakdown for a CarbonCrop site

The tab brings together several charts that were previously scattered across different reports or didn't exist at all:

  • ETS restricted and unrestricted land - how much of the site's land is LUC-restricted vs unrestricted for ETS registration

  • LUC 1-6 allowance - the 25% allowance card showing how much LUC 1-6 land could potentially be registered

  • ETS registration pathways - how the site's polygons sit across the available registration pathways

  • 25% allowance by registration status - showing how the allowance is being used

These charts are available at a site level and work with the existing analytics filters. The LUC allowance and ballot allocation cards are static (they don't update with filters - this is intentional). The data comes from the LUC map already in the platform.

This gives coordinators and consultants a much clearer picture of what's registerable and under which pathway - without having to cross-reference the LUC report manually.

What Else?

  • Transfer NZUs Task - You can now request an NZU transfer directly through the platform. Landholders with an account holder login can submit a transfer request themselves, entering the relevant ETR details and initiating the process. CarbonCrop picks it up from there and sends an email confirmation when it's done.

  • Show/hide Done tasks - You can now filter the task list to show or hide completed tasks, the same way you can already toggle cancelled tasks. Handy for keeping the list focused on what actually needs attention.

  • Drawing tools reliability - Fixed a bug where the draw tools could be selected but not used, caused by a stale closure issue in the drawing session. Should feel more solid now.

  • Improved imagery error messages - When imagery from multiple sources fails to load, the error now lists the failed sources cleanly instead of showing a stack of duplicate messages.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where locked polygons could still be edited or deleted using the draw tools (reshape, split, hole, delete). Locked polygons are now genuinely locked.

  • Fixed establishment method not being included in Forest Changes shapefiles, which was blocking some emissions returns.

  • Fixed an issue where the Registration Category would unexpectedly switch from Averaging to Permanent when the Report Category was changed and changed back.

  • Fixed an issue where the FieldScan and Analytics tabs required two clicks to open from the map page on first use.

  • Fixed an issue where users could not navigate between the sites map and sites list for some companies.

  • Fixed an issue where invoice amounts could not be edited.

  • Fixed the ETR balance on the site overview panel to reflect the post-invoice balance rather than the pre-invoice balance.

  • Fixed an issue in the emissions return task where incomplete data caused an error page instead of a helpful warning message.

  • Fixed a bug where the emissions return task data model disappeared for the forest changes activity step, causing the task to appear broken.

Stay tuned for more updates next month!
